Analysis of National TB Control Program data shows significant regional variation, with Chittagong division reporting 182 cases per 100,000 population — nearly three times higher than Khulna.

Geographic isolation, malnutrition, and limited healthcare infrastructure create perfect conditions for TB spread and treatment failure. While urban areas like Dhaka maintain relatively controlled TB burdens at 182 per 100,000, remote regions with poor road access and few healthcare facilities struggle with late diagnoses and incomplete treatment courses.
